Rio 2 (3D) (2014)

Rio 2 (3D)

In this children's animation, a family of blue macaw birds living a relaxed domesticated life in Rio de Janeiro, find themselves suddenly flung into an Amazonian adventure. Wife and mother of two Jewel (voiced by Anne Hathaway) discovers her long lost tribe. She reunites with the macho father she thought was dead (voiced by Andy Garcia) and a childhood sweetheart turned local hunk Roberto (voiced by Bruno Mars). Meanwhile her nerdy husband Blu (voiced by Jesse Eisenberg) is feeling a little neglected as he grapples with a crisis of masculinity. There's ample opportunity for Blu to prove himself, of course. A nasty logging company is threatening the bird's delicate Amazonian habitat, and his sworn enemy from the last film, a Cockatoo named Nigel (voiced by Jemaine Clement), is looking for a showdown.

Tweak this ever so slightly, add Robert De Niro and Ben Stiller, and it could be a Meet The Focker's film. In fact I wonder if it's just a little too much aimed at parents in the audience. We hear a lot about the golden age of television, for me the term includes shows for kids like 'The Adventuires of Abeny & Teales', and 'Charlie and Lola', which all explore moral dilemmas primarily within the prism of children's characters and feelings, sometimes in the absence of any adults. I'm getting tired of animated features with their double barrelled scripts weighed down with gags aimed at grownups. movie.

I am recommended this film for the kids younger than 6 years old, as the graphic animation are not as good as other kid's movie like happy feet.  The story is much more lighter than happy feet, easy to understand and colour graphic.
