Interstellar
Interstellar is not your average space movie and I was pleasantly surprised to find my preconceived ideas about aliens and a dull Armageddon scenario taking place before the Earth is mystically saved by some unexplained miracle overturned. Interstellar has the unique quality among films of its genre of providing as much scientifically accurate (or plausible) support for its otherwise fantastical plot line… without turning the movie into lecture on physics. Despite being a cynic when it comes to the feasibility of events or situations in movies I found it hard to find holes or absurdities in the science of Interstellar. In directing Interstellar, Christopher Nolan has produced a masterpiece that lives up to the high standard set by his previous works such as Inception and The Dark Knight Trilogy and Hans Zimmer’s film score once again exceeds expectations.
I highly recommend the film to anyone who enjoys both a good original storyline or an artistic filmic triumph.
